Requirements:

A native american plant that would largely benefit from an open top aquarium, part shade-full sun, and loves nitrates 🙂

The leaves consist of sterile & non-sterile leaves that differ in appearance: the sterile leaves are usually broad basal lobes while the fertile leaves are finely disceted into long narrow ultimate segments. Under high light, a red coloration will develop.  Transitional leaves are deeply pinnatifid.
